Engine Repair: A Vital Part Of 4-H

Posted by Josh on May 8, 2015 in Event, Family, Politics, School |

For this year’s 4-H public speaking contest, the speech I delivered was entitled Engine Repair: A Vital Part Of 4-H .  I delivered this speech at the 4-H Regionals Competition at the TAC Building in Vernon, CT, on January 17th.  I won Regionals for senior speeches which enabled me to go to the 4-H States Competition.  States was on March 7th at the UConn West Hartford Campus.  I won States too, which was really exciting.  As a result of being Connecticut state champion for senior speeches, I, along with the state champion for senior presentations, got to deliver my speech at the Capitol Building in Hartford on Citizenship Day, on April 15th.  These three individual experiences and the competition as a whole helped me become a much better public speaker, and through advancing to States and being state champion gave me some experiences and memories I will never forget!
