A few weeks ago, I got some bantam chicks for showing in 4-H shows. On March 31st, I got Benny and AprilĀ  two 2 week old Belgian Cochin ‘s . They are now one month and a week and a half old. Benny crowd his first crow today on April 26th at nine-o-clock in the morning. Then three days later I got six more chicks at two days old. They are now three weeks old. Their names are Fiona, June, Pom-Pom, Danielle, Polk-a-Dot, and Susie. We are not sure what gender they are yet, but we based it on how they act.

Oh! I’m so glad to see I was right about the pair of D’Uccles! Wait til those white spots start coming in…they will begin to really blossom from here on out!
Let’s see if I can identify some of your bantams for you…Susie (girl) and Polka Dot (boy) look like Mottled Cochins, Danielle could be an Old English Game Bird, PomPom is a Silver Laced Cochin, and I’m guessing a rooster, not sure about June or Fiona. It looks like you’re having a lot of fun! Keep up the great work! ~Chrissy

Hi Rachel :) It’s cool to see photos of Pom pom, Benny and the chicks we talked about on Saturday. It was really fun getting to hang out with you. See you very soon. Love and hugs, Vic

Hey Vic! Thanks for the comment! No one (besides Chrissy) ever comments on my blog. (Ok it’s very rare) I had a lot of fun with you at the shower too! I hope to see you (and that you’ll comment) again soon!

Glad The Chicks Are Doing Well! No Hard Feelings Rachel (Or Benny) But I Think Pom-Pom Is A Better Rooster!! Happy Farming (And Don’t Forget To Read My Blog [Writing By Josh] (http://sabafamily.net/joshua) Too!!)
