Here is a letter my Father received dated September 6, 1986 from the Town of Windham (Willimantic).
As you can see below the Town recognized the contributions of my Grandfather. Truly he was part of the fabric of the Willimantic, part of its history. He helped keep the town alive as a community, something that has largely died since his passing. Here is the resolution the Board of Selectman passed:
My father accepted this however refused to do so in person, he told the Board of Selectman they should have recognized him while he was alive.
