we chose this breed for a couple of reasons. For one, they produce great milk. The milk tastes great and tastes practically the same as cow’s milk, with only a slight after-taste, that you really have to look for. As a small farm that is continuing to grow, we want goat’s milk that tastes good so we can sell it, and make other products with it, like cheese, because expanding not only what animals we have but also what products we have available will help us grow our farm. Secondly, they have one of the nicest coloring out of all the different goat breeds, at least, we thought so! And, their ears were also a deciding factor because they make them even more adorable and cute! Simply, we fell in love with the Alpine breed for multiple reasons, so we just had to go with this breed.

Now it’s time for the official introduction to our goats. My goat is named May. Her hair is mostly white with some black in it. She is oldest of our goats, although only by a day, being born on March 29th of this year, making her, along with the rest almost three months old. She is friendly, curious, and sweet but watch out because she loves to nibble on your clothes!

May

Next there is Josie, my sister Rachel’s goat. Her hair color is a mixture of dark brown and black. She was born on March 30th of this year;
