Air Force"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/sabafamily.net\/joshua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/Latta-vs-rMU.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft  wp-image-467\" title=\"Latta vs rMU\" src=\"https:\/\/sabafamily.net\/joshua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/Latta-vs-rMU.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"328\" height=\"247\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sabafamily.net\/joshua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/Latta-vs-rMU.png 469w, https:\/\/sabafamily.net\/joshua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/Latta-vs-rMU-300x225.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 328px) 100vw, 328px\" \/><\/a>Storrs, Conn- During Thanksgiving weekend UConn took on the defending Atlantic Hockey champions Air Force.\u00a0 The second game was scheduled to be played at the XL center.\u00a0 On Friday afternoon, UConn played Air Force in the first game of the series.\u00a0 In the first period, Air Force outshot UConn 13-10, but the period ended at 0-0.\u00a0 UConn scored first 2:13 into the first period on a power-play goal.\u00a0 Sean Ambrosie passed the puck to Alex Gerke, who buried the one-timer, to give UConn the 1-0 lead.\u00a0 Ten minutes later, air Force tied the game at 1-1.\u00a0 But just three minutes later, Jordan Sims put home his third goal of the year.\u00a0 Latta went behind the Air force net, with the Air Force defense and Torf following Latta, who backhanded\u00a0 pass to Sims who tapped it home for the 2-1 lead. After two periods, though, air Force held a 26-23 edge in shots.\u00a0 UConn had some golden oppurtunities, but failed to score, but UConn still won 2-1, getting revenge for a postseason loss to the Falcons last year.\u00a0 Bartus finished with 35 saves on the game.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The next day, UCon finished the series with Air force at the XL Center.\u00a0 Only ten minutes into the game, Trevor Gerling scored on a pass from Evan Carrie, to put the huskies up 1-0.\u00a0 With two minutes left in the period, Air Force tied the game on a low shot on a rebound.
