The cause of his death was Murdered \/ Multiple blows to skull. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif;\"><em>Death Notes<\/em><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif;\">: Mohanna Saba passed away in Indiana Hospital at 1:28 p.m. Wednesday, February 13 [1957].<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif;\">Born March 15, 1875, in Syria, Mr. Saba had been a resident of Indiana for 48 years, and was a member of the Episcopal Church.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif;\">He is survived by seven children: David Saba, Baltimore; Austin, Philadelphia; Nesly of Croydon; Philip, Philadelphia; Joseph, Hulmeville; Mrs. Elizabeth Shatara, Bradford; Mrs. Mary Johnson, Southampton; 20 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif;\">Friends will be received at the Bell Funeral Home, 999 Wayne Avenue, after 2:00 p.m. Friday, where services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 16.  The Rev. Frederick F. Haworth of Christ Episcopal Church will officiate and interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif;\"><em>General Notes<\/em><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif;\">: 1920: Resided in White Twp, Indiana, PA<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif;\">1\/2 brother Isber resided in nearby Clearfield County with his family<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif;\"><em>Research Notes<\/em><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif;\">: &#8220;Mike\u201d His headstone says 1879-; apparently created while he was still living as it was a family stone for him, Affiffe, and Adale.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif;\">Other references (funeral card) say he was born in 1875, but I and others believe he was the younger brother of Fadlou.  His age according to some of the children&#8217;s BC&#8217;s: Phillipe (David Philip),<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif;\">Oct 1901-25; Essa (Austin), Mar 1903-26; Nesly, Mar 1907-28; Joseph,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif;\">Sep 1914-35.  These dates make his DOB between 1876 and 1879.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif;\">Death of spouse Affiffee \/KASSAB-DEMIEHE\/: 20 Aug 1951. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif;\">Mohanna married <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif;\"><strong>Affiffee KASSAB-DEMIEHE<\/strong><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif;\"> about 1900 in Syria. Affiffee was born on 21 Jun 1882 in Damascus, Syria and died on 20 Aug 1951 in Indiana, Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA at age 69, and was buried 23 Aug 1951 in Oakland Cemetery, Indiana, Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA. The cause of her death was Metastatic Carcinoma of Colon. Born June 21, 1880 in Syria, she had lived in this community for 41 years.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif;\">Her husband, Mohanna Saba, and these children survive her: David of Baltimore; Austin of Philadelphia; Nesley of Croyden, Pa.; Philip of Philadelphia; Mrs. Esther Shatara of Bradford; Joseph of Hulmeville; and Mary at home; also twenty grandchildren and one great-grandchild.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif;\">Friends are being received at the Bell Funeral Home, 999 Wayne Avenue, where services will be conducted Thursday, August 23, at 2:00 p.m. by the Rev. D. M. Kasaab was name of Affiffee&#8217;s uncle who resided in Egypt (Cairo or Alexandria) that she &#8220;adopted&#8221; as a surname.
