The cause of his death was Malignant Melanoma. Edward never married and had no children.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif;\"><i>Death Notes<\/i>: From Akron Beacon Journal, Sunday, 28 Aug 1983 page F12: <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif;\">Edward Saba, 701 Dorchester Rd., passed away Aug. 25 at Manor Care Nursing Center following a long illness.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif;\">Mr. Saba was born in DuBois, Pa., and had been an Akron resident for the past 62 years. He was employed at Trans-Ohio Savings Association for 30 years, and was formerly a State Examiner for the State of Ohio for Joseph T. Ferguson. He was a member of St. Joseph Melkite Church, and was a World War II veteran, serving in the army. He was an honorary member of the Knights of Columbus Akron Council No. 547.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif;\">He is survived by brothers, William of Akron, Henry of Cuyahoga Falls, George of Alliance; and nephew, Dr. George W. Saba of Chicago, Ill.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif;\">Funeral services 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Melkite Church.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif;\">Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call at the Hennessy-Bagnoli Funeral Home, 936 N. Main St., 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
