The Journey With Braces Is Over! (Hello Retainers.)
On St. Patrick’s Day (March 17, 2014), I finally got my braces off! It actually didn’t take that long, as the orthodontist used a tool to basically grind the braces off, so they disintegrated. The luck of the Irish was with me because it didn’t hurt! I got my braces on in August of 2011, so I was happy to get them off. Now I have to wear retainers for about 14 hours a day. The first time putting them on was bad, as I have a bad gag reflex, but it is actually pretty easy to wear and talk with on. The only annoying part is that I have take my retainers out anytime I want to eat, and then brush my teeth, brush my retainers, then put them back in! It keeps me from snacking as much (sigh)!

With or without your braces you have always been a handsome young man with a great smile. Take care of them chompers because they are the only ones you get!
