Lion’s Club 1983-84
Al Saba was a member of several area organizations, one of them being the Lion’s Club, where he served as President in 1970-71. Here is the 1904-85 Lion’s Club Booklet:
Eddie Saba: Professional Football Player
Here is Edward G. Saba’s death notice. In it is mention that he played professional football for Providence Steamrollers of the Eastern Football League but I believe it was the late 1930’s and early 1940’s. The last reference I found to him playing was a blurry team rooster from 1945.
